Blue Dragon ornamentby ~Glori305

Another Christmas ornament sculpted over a commercial glass ornament with polymer clay, this one a blue dragon with a band of purple and black knotwork. (If you are curious about the previous ornaments they are here [link] )

This is not painted, all the colors come from the polymer clay they are made from, a mix of Kato and Premo! for this one. Black glass seed beads for the eyes. That the colors run thru the clay really shows to great advantage here, as when you look thru the ornament, you still see knotwork or the feather patterns. All hand sculpted, no molds used or taken from this guy, and the feather canes for the wings were made by yours truely. Over an ornament a little less than 3 inches across.

Photographing this guy was a PITA, these are photo's from his third photo session, originally I put him up with scanned pic's, like in the link to the other view, and the tope right detail of the wings and back is from the scan.
