Beret Selbu Modern by Glori305 Beret Selbu Modern by Glori305
A beret for my mother for Christmas this year.

Knit from lucky find thrift store yarn, appears hand spun and appears to be a wool - something blend. I am guessing wool alapaca, but can not swear to that.

The pattern is from ravelry.com www.ravelry.com/patterns/libra…

Knit on size 4 needles, the yarn is about sport weight, but being hand spun varies a bit.

The black ran a bit when this was washed and blocked, the red is not as bright as it was when I knit it.

Very nice! Selbu patterns are inspired from Norwegian traditional patterns BTW :P And also, Selbu is a small town here in Norway ^^

I have more patterns in my que than I have time to knit...I need to win the lotto and quit my job, just craft all the time.

me too! my biggest problem i think is just picking a pattern and finishing it before starting 5 others. crafting ocd is the worst.

I made a deal with my husband, only one sewing project in progress at a time, and only one project on the needles at a time.

I am breaking that deal, I have socks, a cozy, and a hat on my needles, and I am working on my daugthers and son's halloween costumes all at the same time.

After the holiday I will be good :)

Can't blame you for that, it is a fun knit, and I like it enough I might have to make one for me.

Thanks for the fav on it.
